There was major meeting of the JISC MRD programme last week in Nottingham - a great opportunity to focus in on particular issues and challenges the projects are facing. It was also a chance to show off our achievements so far! We presented the poster below at the meeting, which describes progress and next steps as we move toward the end of the project in March 2013.
Much of the two days was spent split into smaller groups focusing on specific issues, a helpful approach, I found. I won’t go into any detail here on the content of the sessions, as the programme evidence gatherers are going to be reporting in detail on their blog. You can find the RD@E team presentations below though. Viewed together with the poster, they give a pretty good picture of where the project is at right now.
Data Management Planning: developing good practice and providing effective support
Data Repositories and Storage: options for repository service solutions
(Note: this is a different version of the slides to those accompanying my actual presentation, containing screenshots as an alternative to the live demo.)
Triage and Handover: what to keep and where to entrust it? Selection and appraisal; deposit and handover
Data Catalogues: metadata profiles, identifiers.
